COVID-19 or “Coronavirus” has disrupted a global economy and has caused entire countries to go on lockdown. In a time where the world seems to be in a state of panic over COVID-19,  you should allow yourself the opportunity to reflect upon your current mindset. When living in such a fast paced world connected to the internet it is easy to forget how blessed we are despite any difficulties we may be facing at the time. This is your chance to reevaluate your priorities, belief systems, values, and goals. 

It is a fact that some people could be in better financial, mental, or physical situations than others, but it’s also a fact that we presently have instant access to the entirety of human knowledge at the tip of our fingers. It is what we choose to do with our time that dictates the outcome of our time on this planet and the legacy we leave behind for those who come after us. 

If you find yourself with extra time at home, you should think about what is the most proactive and productive thing to do with your time. A computer, tablet, or  smartphone gives us access to a universe of endless possibilities. Keeping yourself educated and creating a structured path for your future is essential to have a prosperous and abundant way of life. The internet allows us to become masters of virtually any craft through the access of information and resources. Rather than spending a chunk of your day scrolling through social media feeds, you should use the time to master a craft or train yourself to learn something and implement it. This  will help increase your quality of life therefore your entire existence.

  • Learning best sleep practices for optimal recovery
  • Polishing up your financial literacy skills to create generational wealth
  • Mastering the benefits of meditation
  • Overcoming shock and trauma

  • Pursuing ways of expanding your career or business 

Discipline and consistency in your day to day routines lay the foundation for a bright future and a healthy ecosystem. Besides your physical schedule, your thought patterns and the way you think shape your reality. There is no space for negativity, doubt, or fear in your thoughts. You can spend your life blaming your misfortunes on childhood trauma, family problems, enemies, or anything other than ourselves, but all it’s doing is keeping us further from the truth. And the truth is that our biggest adversary is our own mind.

The world coming to a screeching halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic has a silver lining, ironically. Despite our entire reality being affected by the ripple effect that Coronavirus has created, this may be the opportunity to evaluate our core values, work on the things that matter, come together to find solutions, and make a come back from this setback operating at a higher frequency.  In the process of self-discovery, we begin to further understand our core values. 

Examples of these core values are:

  • Loyalty
  • Reliability
  • Open Mindedness 
  • Honesty 
  • Consistency
  • Kindness
  • etc.

Getting in tune with yourself and taking advantage of this moment to reinvent yourself and operate at a higher level of consciousness is something that can only benefit you in the long run.

So, how can you succeed with Coronavirus?

It is no secret that the internet is a tool that when used maliciously can cause harm. The spread of misinformation can cause panic and make a bad situation even worse.  A great way to manage misinformation is to educate yourself on what's going on, what you are to expect, and how you can adjust to the current situation. We must be mindful of the fact that we may be also spreading misinformation to others if we don’t inform ourselves correctly. 

Something I’ve seen going on a lot lately is people will only read the headline or article title then share it with their friends and loved ones with absolutely no context. This is because they actually didn’t take the time to read before spreading the news. If we just took the time to read up on the whole story from multiple sources and make educated decisions about the information we spread, we would be able to manage a lot of the fear and panic we find ourselves under.

Whether you gain knowledge, a new skill, or mindset, what you do with your time during this “pandemic” will make or break your future. Now is the time to be informed, positive, supportive, open-minded, and innovative. The sun always shines after a storm. You are the architect of your story. Build away.
